Madison Square Garden
Located in the heart of midtown Manhattan, Madison Square Garden, the world’s most famous arena, hosts top-name concert and family events and is home to the New York Knicks, the New York Rangers and New York Liberty. Custom access solutions were provided for recent renovations, which included improved sightlines, a dynamic scoreboard, sound and LED video systems in HD, new suites, clubs, hospitality areas, restaurants, retail locations and two bridges.
The Javits Center – Marketplace for the World
The Javits Center is host to leading conventions, trade and consumer shows and special events. Recent renovations included the installation of the largest green roof in New York City. Together with upgrades to mechanical, electrical, plumbing and lighting systems, the Javits Center renovations will increase the facility’s energy efficiency by 25%.
Fashion Outlet of Chicago
A $250 million, 130-store mall in Rosemont, close to O’Hare International Airport, the two-level, 530,000 square-foot center has the look and feel of luxury with granite, marble and stone. Safway provided work platform scaffold for the new outlet mall shopping center, which included 75,855 square-feet of decking to allow access to the second floor main ceiling and skylight area for finish work. The project manager was recognized for excellence and safety.
Metropolitan Museum of Art
Access was provided for maintenance at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the world’s largest and finest art museums. Its collection includes more than two million works of art spanning 5,000 years of world culture. Founded in 1870, the Met is located in New York City’s Central Park along Fifth Avenue.
Wheaton Center Apartments
A high-rise suburban metro residential community, the Wheaton Center Apartments in Wheaton, IL are 20-stories high and include distinctive circular balconies. Safway provided access to the complete exterior wall areas and balconies for required maintenance and renovation.
Known for its ivy-covered brick outfield wall, the iconic red marquee over the main entrance and hand-turned scoreboard, the historic Wrigley Field is the home of the Chicago Cubs. Built in 1914, Wrigley Field is the second-oldest stadium that plays host to a professional baseball team. In an effort to boost reception and data coverage during games and resolve network congestion, AT&T installed Wi-Fi access points throughout the stadium, Safway provide rolling and stationary scaffold for the project.
Access was provided during construction of the new Fiterman Hall on the Manhattan Community College campus. A $325 million, 14-story, 390,000 sq. ft. facility, Fiterman Hall houses.
